For the opening of the new art center on Nodeul Island at the HAN river in Seoul, the project arises between the two existing twin bridges in order to valuate the pedestrian walkways toward the island. By its formal and structural lightness, the footbridge falls like a feather within the strong and strikingly defined arches of the existant bridges. Its’ mysterious and variable appearance – if one stands on one side or another – arouses the illusion of a vibrant living object. The light drawn by the successive rings transforms the new footbridge into a enlighted tube which becomes not only a passageway but an urban street.
